to wrap chin-up bar

Pullup bar grip tape

I have a pullup bar in the garage made of black iron pipe and i wanted to wrap it with a material that would give me a better grip but wouldn't be too sticky. Would bicycle handlebar tape or baseball bat tape be a good choice?

I used tennis grip wrap on my pullup bar. Works great, nice and cheap. It's actually really, really soft and comfy, I was pretty surprised.


What to wrap for a pull-bar with?
